My name is Gary Butcher. My wife and I established Butchers Baits at the beginning of 2021. My passion for fishing began at a young age. My dad would let me tag along with him and his buddies on their fishing adventures.
I fished (AND WON) my first ever tournament at the age of 18 on Sand Lake in Nottawa Township, Michigan. I fish around 30 tournaments a year in different circuits. I am the Director of my own Butchers Baits Sunday League.
The largest tournament I ever fished was the TBF National Semi-Finals on Kentucky Lake. I have won numerous plaques from local circuit and classic finishes. Since owning Butchers Baits, my partner and I have won the Angler of the Year title every year. The only soft plastics we use are my custom baits.
I truly enjoy running my own business making custom soft plastic baits for anglers to help them enjoy the outdoors as much as I do.

Scott Smith grew up in SW Michigan. He has fished from NW Ohio to Northern Indiana and all over Michigan. He grew up on a small private lake that was probably the best bass lake in the county. He won his first ever tournament at 14 years old and continues to win today. Him and his partner have won Angler of the Year the last four years in a row using Butchers Baits Soft Plastics. He fishes multiple tournament circuits including one with his wife. He has a son, daughter, daughter-in-law and a granddaughter. He truly enjoys getting kids involved into fishing and the outdoors.

CJ Stamm is a young gun of an angler fishing in the Michiana Anglers Club, Michigan Bass Nation, Stars and Stripes and USA Bassin. He is making the leap and fishing all nine Bassmaster Opens. He is the founder of the Mishawaka Fishing Team, the first one in Northern Indiana. He has the aspirations and work ethic to be at the top of his game for all the companies he is fortunate enough to work with. His favorite way to fish is a jig or Texas rig under docks.
Billy Smith is an amateur kayak angler in the Grass Roots Bass Yakin - IN Chapter and the Topwater League. He remained steadily in the top 5 his entire first year of tournament fishing including a 1st place and Big Bass finish on Hamilton Lake. He also qualified for the Michigan and Indiana State Championship. This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to his hard work and dedication.
Billy’s journey in the world of kayak fishing has been nothing short of inspiring. He has shown relentless passion and determination. One of the significant contributors to Billy’s success is none other than Butchers Baits, his number one supporter. Their quality products have played a crucial role in enhancing his fishing experience and performance on the water.
To keep his fans and supporters in the loop about his tournament journey, Billy has launched the Mullet Man Fishing Facebook page. He also actively participates in several kayak tournament groups on Facebook, including Topwater, GRBY, KBF, MBBKL, and IKF. He is not just a competitor; he is also an advocate for the sport, sharing his growing knowledge and experiences with fellow kayak anglers.
